Bulgaria's Shumen water utility opens 10.8 mln euro tender for building WWTP

November 15 (SeeNews) - VIK Shumen, the water utility servicing the Bulgarian city of Shumen, said on Friday that it has launched a tender for awarding a contract for construction of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), worth an estimated 21.1 million levs ($11.9 million/10.8 million euro), VAT excluded.

The project benefits from EU funding under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020, the company said in a tender notice.

The deadline for submitting offers is January 3, 2020.

Bids will be ranked based on price, which will form 40% of the final mark, and technical criteria.
