On a monthly comparison basis, the highest rise in consumer prices among the EU's members in SEE was registered in Greece, Eurostat said in a statement on Wednesday. The country recorded an increase of 3%, as measured by the Harmonised Indices of Consumer Prices (HICP).
It was followed by Romania and Bulgaria with monthly rises of 0.9% and 0.7%, respectively.
The lowest rate of annual inflation among the EU members from SEE was registered in Slovenia. With a rate of 10.6%, the country comes below the EU average level of 10.9%.
Across the EU, the lowest annual inflation rates were registered in France, Malta and Finland with 6.2%, 7.4% and 8.4%, respectively. In contrast, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia registered the highest rates of 24.1%, 22.5% and 22%, respectively.
