September 11 (SeeNews) - The revenue from tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria in July increased by 2.9% year-on-year to 345.8 million levs ($195.1 million/176.8 million euro), the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Revenues from overnights spent by Bulgarian tourists increased by 19.9% year-on-year in July, while revenues from overnights of foreign nationals edged down by 0.4%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
The total number of tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria edged up by 0.1% to 5.95 million in July.
The largest increase in the number of overnights, by 2.0%, was registered by three-star hotels which reported 28.5% of total overnights spent by Bulgarian tourists and 27.4% of the overnights of international visitors.
A total of 1.30 million tourists stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria in July, up 5.2% year-on-year.
