Compared to the previous quarter, however, the number of residential building permits fell by 4%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
According to the data, 14 permits for the construction of office buildings were issued in the third quarter, up by 55.5% in an annual comparison. Yet, the number was 30% lower when compared to the second quarter.
In terms of other types of buildings, a total of 1,213 permits were issued in the July-September period. This represents a rise of 2.5% in annual terms and by 4.2% on a quarterly basis.
