In October-December, prices of grain crops sank 33.3% year-on-year, with soft wheat prices losing 34.8%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a quarterly report. Industrial crop prices fell by 29.2% in annual terms, following a 32.1% decrease in sunflower prices.

In contrast, animal output prices rose by 1.5% on the year, while live animal prices added 7.8%. The prices of animal products went down by 6.1% due to lower cow milk and hen egg prices, by 11.5% and 6.6%, respectively.

The price index of goods and services in agriculture in the fourth quarter of last year was 2.3% lower than in the same period of 2022, the NSI said.
