October 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Odessos Shiprepair Yard [BUL:5ODE] said on Monday that its net profit soared to 4.5 million levs ($2.6 million/2.3 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 1.1 million levs in the same period of 2018.
The company's operating revenue grew to 30.2 million levs in the January-September period of 2019 from 24.3 million levs in the comparable period of last year, Odessos Shiprepair Yard said in an interim financial statement.
Odessos Shiprepair Yard repaired 42 ships in the first nine months of 2019, booking revenue of 29.1 million levs from the contracts. In the first three quarters of 2018, the company carried out repairs on 48 ships for some 23.0 million levs.
The company's expenses rose to 25.7 million levs in the review period from 23.2 million levs the year before.
As at 9:05 CET on Monday, Odessos Shiprepair Yard shares traded 1.54% higher at 66.0 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
