May 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy said on Thursday it reconnected to the grid its 1,000 MW Unit 5 following scheduled annual maintenance.
During the outage, the reactor was reloaded with fresh nuclear fuel, the power plant said in a statement.
All maintenance works were completed on schedule. The power plant shut down Unit 5 for planned annual maintenance on April 21.
Kozloduy's other operational unit, the 1,000 MW Unit 6, is currently running at 104% capacity, following the successful completion of a project for increasing its capacity, the plant said.
