Bulgaria's non-govt deposits rise 11% y/y in Sept

October 25 (SeeNews) - The deposits of Bulgaria's non-government sector increased by 11.3% on the year to 111.7 billion levs ($56.3 billion/57.1 billion euro) in September, after an annual rise of 10.9% in August, the central bank said on Tuesday.

At the end of September, the value of non-government deposits was equivalent to 72.3% of Bulgaria's projected 2022 gross domestic product, the Bulgarian National Bank said in its latest monthly report on monetary indicators.

Household deposits in September grew by 7.3% to 69.2 billion levs, slower than the 15.3% rise in household loans.

Deposits of non-financial corporations climbed by 23.1% to 38.9 billion levs, which corresponds to 25.2% of the estimated GDP. In parallel, deposits of financial corporations dropped by 15% to 3.58 billion in September, after a decline of 12.5% in August.
