Bulgaria’s Medica 9-mo net profit rises 48%

SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 31 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian drug producer Medica [BUL:5MA] said on Wednesday its net profit rose 48% on the year to 1.7 million levs ($1.1 million/869,000 euro) in the first nine months of 2012.

The company’s net sales revenue rose to 14.9 million levs in the January-September period from 12.7 million levs a year earlier, Medica said in a filing with the Sofia bourse.

Net earnings per share rose to 0.17 levs in the period under review from 0.11 levs a year earlier.

Shares in Medica were last traded on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Monday, closing 9.37 lower at 2.0 levs.
