Bulgaria's Lavena grows non-cons net profit 39% in 2023

January 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian cosmetics producer Lavena [BUL:LAV] said on Monday that its standalone net profit rose to 1.51 million levs ($839,294/772,048 euro) in 2023 from 1.09 million levs a year earlier.

Lavena's total revenue went up by an annual 13% to some 24.1 million levs last year, the company said in a financial statement.

Over the same period, the company's operating expenses widened to some 22.4 million levs from 20 million levs the prior year on the back of higher costs for materials, hired services and remuneration.

Lavena's earnings per share jumped by 39% on the year to 0.153 levs in the review period.

Shares in Lavena last traded at 1.75 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
