Gross value added (GVA) per person employed also grew in real terms in July-September, by 2.3% year-on-year, while GVA per hour worked climbed 3.3%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement, citing preliminary data.
GVA per person employed in the industrial sector came in at 14,037.2 levs in the review period. In the service sector, an average of 11,893 levs GVA was generated by each person employed. Labour productivity was the lowest in the agricultural sector, at 3,822.4 levs in GVA per employee.
Some 3.61 million people were employed in Bulgaria's economy in the third quarter, with the total number of hours worked reaching 1.41 billion.
