Bulgaria’s Kozloduy municipality to start 13.7 mln euro water supply project

November 29 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian municipality of Kozloduy will launch repair and modernisation works on its water supply network in a project worth 26.7 million levs ($17.6 million/13.7 million euro), the country’s environment ministry said on Thursday.

The renovation works, which will be financed under EU-funded operational programme Environment, will kick off on November 30, the ministry said in a statement.

The project envisages the construction of 10-kilometre (km) new sewerage and 9 km of water supply network, aimed to reduce water losses in the municipality.

Kozloduy, on the Danube river, is located in the Vratsa region, in northwestern Bulgaria.
