The construction works and assembly of equipment and machinery are expected to be completed by the end of 2023, Konsul said in a press release.
The new facilities will be adjacent to the existing production plant and will spread over an area of 5,169 square metres.
The construction contractors are Bulgarian companies, which were not named. The majority of the equipment, including the assembly lines, was manufactured by Krassi factory specialists. The additional stainless steel equipment and electronic systems were also manufactured locally, by unnamed Plovdiv companies.
Krassi, which was founded in 1994, currently employs over 160 staff and exports its production to Spain, the UK, Greece, Cyprus,, the US and Germany.
