SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 16 (SeeNews) – The Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the Bulgarian-Turkish border will be upgraded at a cost of 52 million euro ($66.2 million) to double its traffic capacity, local media reported on Friday.

The reconstruction works are already in progress and are planned to be completed in two years, the state-run Bulgarian National Television reported.

A total of 39.5 million euro will be provided from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, while the rest of the financing will come from the state budget.
