November 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s registered unemployment rate increased by 0.3 percentage points to 5.6% at the end of October from 5.3% a month earlier, the Employment Agency said on Friday.
Compared to a year earlier, the unemployment rate was 0.3 pp lower at the end of October, the government agency said in a statement.
There were 35,697 unemployed people newly-registered with labour offices countrywide during the month. The number of people who found a job in October totalled 17,562.
There were 14,410 registered job vacancies in October. Most of the vacancies were registered in the manufacturing sector - 30.3% of the total.
