At the end of last month, there were 161,049 registered jobless people in the country, or 2,586 fewer than in March, the government agency said in a monthly report.
In April alone, the agency registered 22,159 unemployed people, which was 11.1% more than a month earlier.
Some 16,263 jobless people started work with the help of labour offices in the month under review, or 2,031 more than in March.
There were 15,636 job vacancies on the primary labour market in April, up from 14,706 registered in March, the agency added. The highest percentage of vacancies was reported in the manufacturing industry with 19.2%, followed by trade with 18.7%, hospitality and catering with 15.1%, public administration with 8.9%, administrative and auxiliary activities with 5.5% and construction with 4.7%.
