In monthly terms, the industrial PPI inched down by 0.1% in April on the back of a 4.5% price decline in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a monthly report.

Producer prices on the domestic market went down 10.6% year-on-year last month, following a 12.7% fall in March. The decrease was driven by a 28.4% slump in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply prices. Producer prices on the non-domestic market rose 0.4% on the year in April.

On an annual comparison basis, the most significant price growth in Bulgaria's manufacturing industry was observed in the making of computer, electronic and optical products - by 11.1%. Domestic producer prices in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers leapt by 9% on the year.
