April 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's industrial production index declined by 8.3% on the year in February after falling by a revised 9.2% in January, the statistical office said on Wednesday, citing preliminary and seasonally-adjusted data.
On a monthly comparison basis, Bulgaria's industrial output remained unchanged in the second month of 2024, following a revised slip of 4% in January, the National Statistical Office (NSI) said in a monthly report.
All three main industrial sectors recorded annual declines in their production rates in the review month, with mining and quarrying output losing the most - 20.8%, followed by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply with a 20.7% drop.
In monthly terms, production in the manufacturing industry was the only one to rise, by 2.9%, while mining and quarrying posted the most considerable fall in output, at 9.8%.
