Bulgaria's industrial output down 0.3% y/y in April

June 10 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's industrial production index edged down 0.3% year-on-year in April after shedding a revised 7.8% in March, the statistical office said on Monday, citing preliminary and seasonally-adjusted data.

On a monthly comparison basis, Bulgaria's industrial output grew by 3.3% in the fourth month of 2024, following a revised slip of 0.4% in March, the National Statistical Office (NSI) said in a monthly report.

The highest annual decline was posted by the mining and quarrying industry, at 7.7%, followed by manufacturing with a 1.9% fall. In contrast, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output jumped by 10.6% on the year.

In monthly terms, all three main industrial sectors recorded increases in their production rates, with electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply growing the most - 13.8%, followed by the mining and quarrying industry with a 4.2% rise.
