Month-on-month, Bulgaria's industrial output went up by 2.3% in the tenth month of 2023 after registering a 2.7% monthly decline in September, the National Statistical Office (NSI) said in a monthly data release.
Annual production rates declined in all three main industrial sectors for the ninth consecutive month. The largest slowdown was recorded in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector, of 10.1%.
Compared to the previous month, production in both the mining and quarrying industry and in manufacturing increased in October, while in the utilities sector there was a drop of 3.2% against September.
