December 20 (SeeNews) - Hourly labour costs in Bulgaria increased by 10.0% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2019, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Friday, citing preliminary data.
Salary costs rose by an annual 9.7% in the July-September period, while other labour costs increased 11.2% on the year, NSI said in a statement.
Hourly labour costs rose the most in services - by 10.5% on the year, followed by construction and industry, with annual increases of 10.1% and 8.3%, respectively.
In terms of economic activities, the highest growth rate, of 15.0%, was recorded in the real estate sector.
The gross domestic product (GDP) per person employed in Bulgaria increased by an annual 3% to 8,619.2 levs ($4,901/4,407 euro) in the third quarter of 2019, NSI said in a statement earlier this month.
