December 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] said that its consolidated net profit, excluding minority interest, more than doubled to 10 million levs ($5.7 million/5.1 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 4.2 million levs in the same period of 2018.
Holding Varna trimmed its expenses to 52.4 million levs in the January-September period, compared to 57.6 million levs in the comparable period of 2018, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company lowered its expenses for hired services to 11.8 million levs in the review period from 15.2 million levs the year before, and cut its personnel costs to 12.6 million levs from 16.2 million levs.
The group's revenue also fell, to 61.9 million levs in the first three quarters of the year from 64.5 million levs in the year-ago period.
The company’s portfolio includes companies in the tourism, real estate, financial and other sectors.
