Bulgaria's Gross Foreign Debt Rises to 36.424 Bln Euro at End-October

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s gross foreign debt totalled 36.424 billion euro ($51.055 billion) at the end of October, up by 26.2% from the end of 2007, the central bank said on Tuesday.

Bulgaria's gross foreign debt at the end of October was equivalent to 107.1% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) projected for 2008, the central bank said in a statement.

Bulgaria's long-term foreign debt was 22.553 billion euro and short-term debt totalled 13.871 billion euro at the end of October.
