November 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] said on Friday that its consolidated net profit excluding minority interest grew to 20.5 million levs ($11.5 million/10.5 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 16.5 million levs in the like period of 2018.
Gradus' operating revenue rose to 137.2 million levs in the January-September period of 2019 from 112.8 million levs in the same period of last year, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Operating expenses increased to 114.6 million levs from 94.6 million levs the year before, as cost of goods sold nearly doubled to 22.7 million levs from 13.4 million levs.
Expenses for materials also saw a notable increase - to 62.2 million levs from 56.4 million levs a year earlier.
Gradus controls six units - Gradus-1, Gradus-3, Gradus-98, Lora-2004, Millennium 2000, and Zhyuliv.
As at 8:30 CET on Friday, Gradus shares traded 0.30% higher at 1.685 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
