Bulgaria's Gopet Logistics invests 500,000 euro in rooftop solar

May 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Gopet Logistics, part of local forwarding services company Gopet Trans, said it invested 500,000 euro ($543,303) in a 598 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at its logistics base in Kazichene, near the capital Sofia.

The PV system, put into operation last month, covers over 60% of the energy needs of the company which aims to reach 100% energy independence, Gopet Logistics told SeeNews in an emailed statement on Thursday.

Gopet Logistics, founded in 2004, provides third-party logistics services for over 80,000 stock keeping units, processing more than 3,300 orders per month.

The company offers a broad range of services, including repackaging, labelling, assembly, barcoding, palletising and depalletising. It serves clients in online trade, wholesale and retail trade, fast-moving goods, fashion, electronics, lighting, building components and solar panels.
