SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 23 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to increase by an annual 1.4% overall in 2014, driven by domestic consumption, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria said on Tuesday.

Bulgaria's GDP seen growing 1.4% in 2014 - Raiffeisenbank

During the third quarter of the year, maintaining the trend of the first two quarters, domestic demand was the driving force, contributing to a year on year increase of 1.9%, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria said in its analysis.

"Unlike the previous two quarters, however, during the third [quarter] external demand [was] kept in check because in the July-September period exports significantly shrank,“ Emil Kalchev, Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria's economic analyst, was quoted as saying.
