ESO’s total revenue jumped to 1.3 billion levs in the period under review from 522.6 million levs a year earlier, according to an interim financial statement published on the website of parent company Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH).
ESO booked costs for electricity on the balancing market of 499.8 million levs, soaring from 87.03 million levs a year earlier. Meanwhile, costs of power transmission soared to 325.9 million levs from 109.1 million levs.
At the end of September, ESO’s total assets amounted to 2.82 billion levs, a touch higher than 2.81 billion levs at the end of 2021.
ESO is managing Bulgaria’s high-voltage electricity transmission grid, securing uninterrupted electricity supply in the country. The company is also manageing the transit of electricity flows through the territory of Bulgaria.
