Bulgaria's Doverie United Holding 9-mo cons net profit flattish y/y

December 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] said its consolidated net profit, excluding minority interests, declined to 63.1 million levs ($35.3 million/32.3 million euro) in the nine months through September from some 63.4 million levs in the like period of 2022.

The group's revenue leapt by 22% on the year to 453.2 million levs in January-September, Doverie United Holding said in an interim financial statement on Wednesday.

Net banking income went up to 164.6 million levs from 151.9 million levs, while net insurance income fell to 3.2 million levs from 4.5 million levs. Net income from other business segments increased by an annual 19% to 59.3 million levs.

The company's operating expenses widened to 360.3 million levs in the review period from 279.1 million levs in the first nine months of 2022, primarily due to higher interest expenses, costs of goods sold and remuneration costs.

Doverie United Holding owns majority stakes in 17 companies active in various sectors of the economy, including healthcare, construction, banking, retail trade, real estate and others.

As of 1150 CET on Friday, shares in Doverie traded flat at 8.40 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
