Bulgaria's Chimimport ups 9-mo cons net profit on revenue rise

SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Chimimport [BUL:6C4] said on Friday that its consolidated net profit excluding minority interest edged up to 59.4 million levs ($33.4 million/30.4 million euro) in the first nine months of 2019 from 58.5 million levs in the same period of 2018.

The Chimimport group's after-tax profit, including interest attributable to other shareholders in Chimimport's units, also rose slightly to 71.8 million levs in the review period from 69.8 million levs the year before, Chimimport said in an interim financial statement.

Revenue from financial services increased to 318.9 million levs in the January-September period of 2019 from 305.6 million levs in the comparable period of last year.

Net interest income rose to 145.1 million levs in the period under review from 141.3 million levs a year earlier.

The Chimimport group also lifted its revenue from non-financial activities to 356 million levs from 337.1 million levs in the prior-year period.

Chimimport's assets amounted to 9.54 billion levs at the end of September, up from 9.10 billion levs at the end of 2018.

Chimimport has over 60 subsidiaries, active in various sectors of the economy, including banking, insurance, air transport, agriculture, petroleum and natural gas exploration, and others.
