March 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] said its consolidated net profit excluding minority interests grew to some 48.9 million levs ($27.1 million/25 million euro) in 2023 from 37.2 million levs a year earlier.
Chimimport's total revenue, however, slid to some 17.8 billion levs last year from 22.5 billion levs in 2022, the company said in a financial statement on Thursday.
The company's operating expenses also declined, to 17.7 billion levs from 22.5 billion levs, mainly driven by lower foreign exchange rates. In comparison, expenses for hired services increased by 22% year-on-year to 180.7 million levs in the review period.
Chimimport has 59 subsidiaries active in various sectors of the economy, including banking, insurance, transport, agriculture and petroleum and natural gas exploration.
