However, Chimimport's total revenue declined to some 13.4 billion levs in the nine months through September from roughly 16 billion levsa year ago, the company said in an interim financial statement earlier this week.
Chimimport's expenses also went down, to 13.3 billion levs from 15.9 billion levs, as costs for materials and salaries declined. By contrast, expenses for hired services added 19% on the year to 137.5 million levs in the reporting period.
Chimimport has over 60 subsidiaries active in various sectors of the economy, including banking, insurance, air transport, agriculture, petroleum and natural gas exploration, and others.
As at 1528 CET on Friday, shares in Chimimport traded 3.08% higher at 0.67 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
