November 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian blue-chip Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) reported a 2.0% yearly rise to 10.4 million levs ($7.9 million/5.3 million euro) in its January-September net profit.
CCB deposit portfolio expanded 7.5% on the year to 1.515 billion levs at the end of September, while its credit portfolio was 20% higher at 1.102 billion levs, the bank said in its financial report for the first nine months.
Its assets rose 10% on the year to 1.8 billion levs at the end of September when the bank was the 12th largest lender by assets in the country, it said.
Bulgaria has 24 domestically-registered banks and five branches of foreign lenders at the end of September.
