Bulgaria's c/a surplus widens to 5.5 bln euro in Jan-Oct

December 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's current account was in surplus of 5.5 billion euro ($6.1 billion) in January-October, compared to a surplus of 2.9 billion euro in the like period of 2018, the central bank said on Friday.

The current account surplus in the first ten months of this year was equivalent to 9.3% of Bulgaria's expected 2019 gross domestic product (GDP), the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a monthly balance of payments report.

In October alone, Bulgaria's current account was in surplus of 399.1 million euro, which compares to a surplus of 53 million euro in October 2018.
