SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 30 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s business sentiment index dropped by 1.1 percentage points in December as compared to a month earlier due to the less favourable business climate in construction and retail trade, the country's National Statistics Institute (NSI) said on Tuesday.

In December, the retail trade sub-index decreased by 4.5 percentage points over the month due to moderating expectations among managers, NSI said in a statement on its website.

The construction sub-index dropped by 8.2 percentage points in December. Entrepreneurs in the sector had a less optimistic assessment of the current business environment. Their expectations for the construction sector's activity for the next three months were also more reserved.

The business climate indicator for the industrial sector was up by 2.4 percentage points this month due to more optimistic expectations among managers for the next six months.

The services sector sub-index increased by 2.4 percentage points in December. Managers in the sector showed a more favourable business outlook.
