Bulgaria's BREF grows 9-mo net profit on revenue rise

October 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT (BREF) [BUL:5BU] said on Thursday that its net profit rose to 3.4 million levs ($1.9 million/1.7 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 2.9 million levs in the comparable period of 2018.

BREF's revenue from property leases increased to 5.5 million levs in the January-September period of 2019 from 5.5 million levs in the same period of last year, the company said in an interim financial statement.

The real estate investment trust booked 576,000 levs in revenue from property sales, sharply up from just 42,000 levs the year before.

The company's expenses increased to 2.7 million levs in the period under review from 2.1 millon levs in the prior-year period, due to an increase in cost of assets sold.
