Bulgaria's Atomenergoremont Q1 net profit shrinks 30% y/y

April 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian power plant equipment maintenance company Atomenergoremont [BUL:ATOM] said its net profit fell to 4.33 million levs ($2.37 million/2.21 million euro) in the first quarter of 2024 from 6.16 million levs in the same period last year.

The company's overall revenue declined by 9.3% year-on-year to 12.35 million levs in January-March, Atomenergoremont said in an interim financial statement on Thursday.

Sales of services, which make up over 99% of the total sales revenue, remained flattish in annual terms, at 11.6 million levs.

Atomenergoremont's operating expenses slightly widened to some 8.02 million levs in the three months through March from 7.46 million levs in the prior-year period, following rises in costs for hired services, remuneration and social security payments.

The company's assets stood at 258.1 million levs at the end of March, down from 260.7 million levs at the end of 2023.

Atomenergoremont's main client is Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant, Kozloduy.

Shares in Atomenergoremont last traded on April 9 when they closed at 13.00 levs on the BaSE market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
