Bulgaria’s Astra Asset Management Plans Fourth Mutual Fund

“We will set up in the future another low-risk fund, which will invest mainly in debt securities,” Astra Asset Management executive director Valentina Tzoneva told SeeNews on the sidelines of a news conference held to present the company's first three mutual funds.

The company, which was licensed in June to operate as an asset manager, has launched a moderate-to-high risk fund investing in stocks, a moderate risk fund investing in bonds and stocks and a low-risk fund investing in bank deposits, debt and money market instruments.

Bulgaria has some 40 asset management companies managing total assets of about 700 million levs ($487 million/358 million euro).
