Bulgarian Shares Close Mixed in Lower Turnover

December 11 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian share indices on Friday closed mixed in a lower turnover, bourse data showed.

Bulgarian Shares Close Mixed in Lower Turnover

The SOFIX index, which comprises the 20 most liquid shares trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), dropped 0.05% to 431.26 points after falling 0.61% on Thursday.

The broader BG40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the bourse, fell 0.56% to 117.66 points after gaining 0.21% on Thursday.

Total turnover, excluding block and other pre-agreed deals, decreased to 3.07 million levs ($2.3 million/ 1.57 million euro) from 3.35 million levs on Thursday.

Thirty-seven shares gained ground, 31 declined and 12 ended flat on Friday.

Seven of the 18 SOFIX components that were traded on Friday closed higher, nine ended in the red and two were flat.

Blue-chip drug maker Sopharma was among the most liquid stocks on Friday with 51,335 shares changing hands. The stock fell 0.25% to 3.99 levs.

Central Cooperative Bank was traded in a volume of 39,057 shares, gaining 0.708% to 1.28 levs.

The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, declined 0.52% to 47.85 points. The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, gained 0.12% to 331.49.

On Thursday, the BG-REIT gained 0.25% and the BG TotalReturn30 ticked 0.32% down.

The Dnevnik 20 index, calculated by local business daily Dnevnik from the share prices of the 20 leading companies in terms of liquidity and market capitalisation, gained 0.44% to 61.68 points after a daily decline of 0.32% on Thursday.
