The company's total revenue declined to 19.8 million levs in the nine months through September from 23.8 million levs in the like period of 2022, Bulgarian River Shipping said in an interim financial statement on Wednesday.
Sales of services fell by an annual 17% to 14.9 million levs, while revenue from product sales climbed by 9% to 2.7 million levs.
The company's operating expenses grew to 17.2 million levs in the review period from 14.9 million levs in the first nine months of 2022, following higher costs for hired services and remuneration expenses.
Bulgarian River Shipping, founded in 1935, transports cargo among the Danube river countries.
Shares in the company last traded on November 17 when they closed at 0.58 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
