Bulgarian regulator sets regulation up/down limit prices for balancing energy market

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 23 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian energy regulator said it has determined the limit prices at which deals for upward and downward regulation on the balancing energy market should be settled as of January 1, 2015.

The limit price for the settlement of deals for upward regulation is set at 202 levs ($126/103 euro) per megawatt-hour (MWh), whereas for downward regulation deals it is 0.0 levs per MWh, the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC) said in a notice published on its website on Monday.

The regulator's decision was adopted on December 19 and can be appealed within 14 days before the Supreme Administrative Court.
