SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 9 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian enginnering company Polytechnics said on Thursday it is in talks with several Austrian firms to supply them with state-of-the-art technology for electricity generation from waste developed by U.S.-based ElectraTherm for an undisclosed sum.

Bulgarian Polytechnics Seeks Buyers for U.S.-Patented Green Power Technology

“We are in the process of negotiations with at least 10 clients, mainly from Austria,” Polytechnics co-owner Volodya Yankulov told SeeNews.

In February, the company signed  a deal to distribute the technology and equipment for a patented heat and pressure recovery technology, for which ElectraTherm (www.electratherm.com) employs minimum heat to generate fuel-free, emissions-free electricity at a very low cost.

The U.S. firm installed its first commercial waste heat generator in May. No such facility has been installed in Europe so far, Yankulov said.

“We will be happy, if we can sign a deal by the end of the year,” said Yankulov.

The investment in installed capacity of 200 kilowatts (KW) to 500 KW varies from 300,000 euro ($411,600) to 800,000 euro, he added.
