Bulgarian n-plant Kozloduy shuts 1,000 MW unit for planned repairs

September 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Kozloduy nuclear power plant said it has shut down one of its two 1,000-megawatt (MW) units for planned annual repairs.

"The plant's 1,000 MW Unit Six was switched off at 2.13 a.m. local time on September 15," the plant said in a statement.

The planned maintenance works, during which the reactor will be reloaded with fresh fuel, are scheduled to be completed by end-October, it added.

Kozloduy's other 1,000 MW reactor, Unit Five, is operating at full capacity.
