Bulgarian Financial Regulator Gives Nod to Pioneer Asset Management To Market Six Funds

December 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's financial watchdog said on Thursday it has allowed Luxembourg-based Pioneer Asset Management, part of Italian bank UniCredit, to sell six funds to local investors.

Pioneer Asset Management has mets the requirements of the local legislation, the Financial Supervision Commission said in a statement.

The six funds managed by Pioneer Asset Management, which is the asset management arm of UniCredit's fund manager Pioneer Investments, invest in stocks and bonds by global companies.

Pioneer was the first international fund management company to set foot in Bulgaria, in 2003. It offers its funds through the network of UniCreditBulbank, Bulgaria's biggest bank by assets, owned by UniCredit group. The asset managers offers to local investors 29 funds.
