Bulgarian court orders Impact Corporation to pay 6.4 mln euro in product fees

October 31 (SeeNews) - A top Bulgarian court has ordered local waste management company Impact Corporation to pay to the state 12.6 million levs ($8.35 million/6.4 million euro) in product fees, the environment ministry said on Wednesday.

The Supreme Administrative Court has ruled that Impact Corporation has failed to meet its targets for recycling and utilization of wooden and plastic packaging materials and has to pay product fee for 16,128 tonnes of packaging placed on the market by its members, the environment ministry said in a statement.

The court ruling is final and cannot be appealed.
