Crown Media is in talks with a potential investor and the deal should be closed by the end of the week, Dnevnik wrote quoting Crown Media.

The buyer is a local company, Dnevnik added quoting an unnamed participant in the negotiations.

New Bulgarian Media Group, owned by Irena Krasteva, a former head of the state lottery, acts as a consultant to the deal. The group took over the management of Tv7 and Express daily on Wednesday.

The recently set-up New Bulgarian Media Group publishes the dailies Monitor, Telegraph, Meridian Match and Borba, and Politika weekly.
