Bulgarian, Azerbaijani presidents agree on Sofia-Baku air route - report

October 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian president Rumen Radev, who is paying a visit to Baku, and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev have agreed on the launch of a direct air route between the two countries' capitals, Bulgaria's state-run television BNT said on Friday.

Flights on the new route will start on January 1, BNT reported on its website. The broadcaster did not specify the frequency of the flights on the new route or which company will operate it.

During their meeting, Radev and Aliyev also discussed cooperation in energy, transport, tourism, agriculture, culture and education.
