Bulgaria to start building Luda Yana dam next year

SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 24 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria plans to launch the construction of the Luda Yana water reservoir in 2013, the regional development ministry said.

Bulgaria to start building Luda Yana dam next year

The dam, to be located on the Luda Yana river in the municipality of Pazardjik, will contain 19.94 million cubic metres of water, the ministry said in a statement on its website last week.

Financing will be provided from the proceeds of a World Bank loan.

The ministry issued no further details.

The municipality of Pazardjik is located in southern Bulgaria.
