Bulgaria to launch 2.9 mln euro road upgrade in Shumen region

SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 30 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria will launch on Wednesday a 5.6 million euro ($3.7 million/2.9 million euro) upgrade of a 10.6-kilometres road section in the Shumen region, the government's road infrastructure agency said.

The project for the upgrade of the Venec-Borci-Yasenkovo road section is co-funded with 4.8 million levs by the European Regional Development Fund, the agency said in a press release on Tuesday.

The construction works will be carried out by a tie-up of Bulgarian firms Bars and Patengineering.
