The procedure aims to bolster the companies' competitiveness and market presence, supporting investments in new machines, facilities, equipment, tools and specialised software to boost production capacity, the ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The funding, ranging between 25,000 levs and 150,000 levs per project, will also cover the costs of setting up online stores.

The grant scheme is part of the EU-backed operational programme Innovations and Competitiveness.
