* Wednesday, September 24 - Sofia: Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Plugchieva to open a national conference on preventing mismanagement of European Union funds.

* Wednesday, September 24 - Sofia: The state energy regulator to hold public discussion on a proposed 36.5% hike in natural gas prices for the fourth quarter of 2008.

* Wednesday, September 24 - Sofia: The prospects of Russian-Bulgarian cooperation in tourism will be discussed via a Sofia-Moscow video link hosted by Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

Wednesday, September 24 - Sofia: Bulgaria's central bank to issue data on end-July gross foreign debt (1100 GMT).

Friday, September 26 - Sofia: National Statistics Institute to release business sentiment index.
